What are Hearrings?
Hearrings are jewellery designed specifically to accessorize Hearing Aids.
Hearrings have been launched by Kate Cross, who herself was born partially deaf and has been wearing hearing aids for a number of years.
Hearrings are designed to be a fashion statement. Many hearing aids, even the more modern Digital Hearing Aids can look like chunky beige bananas.
Hearrings can be customised to fit most types of Behind the Ear hearing aid, either N.H.S. or privately supplied.
They will probably appeal mainly to women but plans are in the pipeline to include versions for men and children.
Kate’s idea is to give hearing aid users the choice to wear Hearrings as a personal statement, similar to a pair of trendy glasses, but also the choice to wear discreet hearing aids which are much less obvious.
21st Century Hearing is proud to be associated with Kates Hearrings and welcome enquiries from any hearing aid user who may be interested.

Traditional behind-the-ear (BTE)
A traditional BTE is worn comfortably behind the ear while amplified sound travels down a tube to a customized earmold that fits securely into the ear. Because they are a larger size they can accommodate a bigger battery for longer life and larger amplifiers for maximum amplification. BTEs are compatible with most assistive listening devices and suitable for mild to profound hearing losses.
